CCUB 1062 (202)

Hi! Assalamualaikum to those who are reading this! May Allah give us His countless of great blessings. Let me introduce myself before writing of a whole passage. My name is Putri Anis Anisya binti Mohd. Zamri and people usually call me as 'Putri' or 'Anis'. My major is accounting in IIUM and currently in my second year of semester, I am taking Usrah II, CCUB section 202. The class is held at mosque every Tuesday and Thursday from 8p.m. till 10p.m. And so, the journey began...

The first class (the first session) was on 15th of August 2023. I was beyond grateful to find the class's venue since I am a type of person who find difficulties in finding classes. It was all started by reciting prayers and taaruf. I must say that sister Aisyah Hanani the one who conducted the class really impressed me out. The taaruf went differently when she asked to introduce ourselves and state of why we choose to study in IIUM. Besides, she held variety of activities as a pre-task. That was very fun! We played BINGO but there was numbers of characteristics to just match with each other's characteristics! The aim from the game was to let us knowing the members and recognizing of each other's names. I got BINGO by the way and it really took time! Then, we start discussing of 'What is Niyah?' Each of us gave out our own opinions. I thought it will be a pressure to talk but, surprisingly we shared and agreed more and more. By the time ticking, the class just ended within a blink of an eye.

Not going to deny, I looked forward to attend the class, 17th of August 2023. It was again, we played an activity to match the pictures like a puzzle. My group formed a very cute kitten. We got a title said 'The benefit of khusyu' in salah.' My group consisted of three members including me, namely Shafa from Jakarta, Indonesia and Irtissam from Madagascar. I love talking to them. We spoke about ourselves in the middle of discussion and then we presented our presentation. Everyone was really gave their full effort and attention to the task and I felt very content.

Onto the second week! 22nd of August 2023. Sister Aisyah let us picked the torned papers in the box. I got 50 cents. Sister Aisyah formed us again as a group by mentioning a specific amount of Ringgit Malaysia as 'RM1.50' and such. I was with Nafisah and Hana. We got the title that related to Sawm or Fasting. We presented the discussion by going to a group by group and let one of us stayed until the 'others' completed hearing from the other group's presentation then the 'others' will replace to their own group to again present to the other group. The day was tiring but gained so much information such as unfamiliar hadiths and surahs.

In the same week, 24th of August 2023. As per usual, we started by doing an activity! It is called as 'Broken Phone'. This is my favorite among those activities were held. We lined up, sitting. The very in front will read the note given by sister Aisyah within a specified time only. Then, the message will passed to the members until the very behind member will write down the message. Sister Aisyah helped the members to compare the message. Unfortunately, the message were not the same even though the game was held twice already! It was very fun and exciting all the time! The result of the activity is to remind us that news sometimes can be heard different and we must not share something that is unsure. It was a wholesome. Then, we got into a group. I was again with Nafisah! I may say that our bond was gotten stronger than before! The title we got was, 'How Sadaqah benefits Ukhuwwah in Islam'. We enjoyed discussing it with the other groups too.

For the 5th session, I did not attend to the class as I got migraine. It was a 'rest day' for me. I really could not get up from the bed but I acknowledge that they deliberated about Hajj/Umrah. On 31st August was a public holiday for Independence Day! Week 3 has not so much to write, I guess?

Finally, week 4. The role play presentations! I was the second group but first session of the role play. My group consisted of both Singaporeans namely, Umairah and Aysha. It went very smooth when working with them. We presented the title we chose was, 'How Islam Helps the Needy People'. I gave out my full strength and my very best as for the last task to do for the class. I enjoyed the other's roleplays too. I must say, the relieve I felt on that day, speechless.

The very last session of usrah II's class! 7th of September 2023. There were three more groups were yet to present their roleplay. The groups really excited us and burst all of us to laugh as Hana's group made out an action to present their roleplay. We then, ended it with a potluck supper. I brought a cake! There was a written message on top of the cake as 'Happy Farewell CCUB 1062 (202)!' I guess the cake was the best dessert and it was everyone's favorite. There was so many food and I could not help myself to finish my own food. So we decided to take away and gave away to roommates!

There you go, my last passage. The class was very memorable and enjoyed every moment of it. I am grateful to meet all of these people. Sister Aisyah is really the best conductor and I hope, pray for her best future and may all of her wishes come true, and to all of us. I do not want to forget about these days. The blog is written, I would read and reminisce the moments. Thank you, Wassalam.
