CCUB USRAH 1 SECTION 1 201 SEM 3 21/22
Assalamualaikum readers! I am Putri Anis Anisya binti Mohd Zamri and currently studying accounting under Kuliyyah of Economics Management and Sciences for 1st year. Of this semester, I gladly to know and meet my sister called, sister Nur Afifah. She has been helping my friends and i to dig and learn who are we actually and what we are seeking for in this life by watching Nouman Ali Khan YouTube videos who is an Arabic instructor and Islamic speaker.
During the class i got myself into choosing one of the videos tittled, Faith In Allah. From the video, i learnt and gained something that i have not before. That was, a story of Nabi Musa AS and Hazrat Khidr. Allah mentions a righteous man in the Quran who had excellent knowledge and wisdom. However, He doesn’t directly name him in the Quran. But, Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) and the companions spoke about this story and Khidr in intense detail. He is known as a man who would pass on his immense knowledge to others and also help them when they were in distress. Allah says in the Quran that He blessed him with a certain type of knowledge. Also, This story is in the 18th surah of the Quran, Surah al-Kahf. In the story, Musa AS, by chance, meets this wise man. Then, Khidr does things that Musa AS finds objectionable. However, Musa AS doesn’t realize the deep wisdom behind his actions. At the end of their encounter, Khidr explains the reasoning behind his actions. The circumstances that he describes show the wisdom behind his actions. Therefore, there are many lessons that Muslims can learn from the story of Khidr.
Those are, of why Khidr damaged the boat, of why Khidr killed the boy and of why Khidr built the wall, are all will be potrayed in the poster as I have been asked to do in the class.
Apart from that, I have related the story to my experience of a friend that gives of why we must put our faith in Allah because Allah is the only one we can depend on and no one else. The best hikmah comes from Him. As Nouman Ali Khan have said in the video, in this world, if the test is not easy for us, to learn or internalize it, the lesson right away, it is okay. It was not easy for Musa AS either. We are not being expected to not be frustrated, to not be angry, to not be lose patience. It is not expectation from Allah SWT.
From this usrah, have reminded me to take a step back and look at Allah’s plan and say “There is something good in it and I am going to accept it” because Allah’s plan is always meant to be good.
